Here you can find our Facebook scraper, a tool for retrieving posts, comments, likes, reactions and and active users’ information from public Facebook pages. The scraper was written in Python.

The data is stored in a SQLite database with four tables in the following scheme:

Soon we’ll write about how you can use the scraped data for analyzing the strength of members’ commitment to the page, what kind of posts get the most popular, who are the opinion leaders in the community, what kind of topics occur in the online conversations and how sentiments and emotions appear in posts and comments over time.
